Rain totals were quite varied across the region. Overall we received a good, and much-needed, soaking for most locations. These are the totals as of 10:15 PM Sunday:

Threat For Severe Storms Now Gone
The atmosphere is becoming more stable, in addition, we are nearing sunset. This means that the the severe threat has now decreased. Scattered showers and an occasional downpour will be possible for the rest of this evening.
Strong Storms In Southern VA
Temperatures soared into the mid and upper 70s across most of southern/southeastern VA this afternoon. This additional heat has provided fuel for some strong thunderstorms.

These storms will stay mainly along and south of I-64 and will quickly loose strength after sunset.

Isolated Strong Storms Possible Today
A small and fast-moving low pressure system will move over the region today. This will pull some warmer air into the southern half of Virginia.
Although isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the entire area, the best chances for strong or severe storms will be along and south of I-64.
