Hermine continues to strengthen this morning, up to 45 mph sustained winds and gusts to 50 mph. These tropical storm force winds extend out 105 miles from the center of the storm. Heavy rain with totals in excess of 4"-8" is expected in south Texas along the coast... 
...but most of the Lonestar state will benefit from Hermine with at least an inch over the coming days as Hermine weakens and stalls over the area mid-week.
Elsewhere in the tropics, we continue to monitor the remnants of Gaston 400 miles to the east of the Leeward Islands.
As atmospheric conditions become more favorable over the next 48 hours, Gaston may earn its Tropical Storm status again. We'll be monitoring it closely!
