A dry cold front will pass through Central Virginia this afternoon and evening, bringing cooler, drier air into the state with northerly winds. With mostly clear skies the rest of this week, that will allow overnight temperatures to drop into the 30's. A clipper system will pass through the region Thursday, possibly bringing a few showers to central Virginia. Otherwise, the next seven days look dry and seasonable.
