Ana & Bill Updates

Latest data is still consistent with Ana's current movement towards the Windward Islands and possibly Cuba in the next few days.

Although it should intensify over the next 24 hours, it should still stay a tropical storm.

Data is very consistent with Bill's WNW track over the next few days.

It should steadily strengthen to a hurricane by the upcoming workweek, but there are lingering questions on how strong.

Tropical Storm Bill Just Named

It's official - we have our second named storm of the season.

Bill Could Be Named Later Today

Tropical Depression 3 is steadily strengthening on the heels of Ana. Most of the current data suggests that it will produce tropical storm force winds by this evening. If this happens, then we will already have our second named storm of the season: Bill.

The track of Bill will initially be west, but then will turn WNW later next week.

Another strong wave is just now moving off the African coast, which could potentially become the third named storm if it continues to grow. We will be watching that one as well!

Ana Named Early This Morning

We are now tracking Tropical Storm Ana in the Atlantic. This storm will be affecting the Windward Islands by Monday as it moves to WNW at 16 mph. I will have another update later this evening.
