It looks like we could have Bonnie brewing the the Caribbean. This wave is drifting to the northwest and should continue to strengthen, especially when it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. Most data has it developing tropical storm force winds by tomorrow. It appears that the other wave in the northern Gulf will move inland before it intensifies anymore.

Tropics Update - Sunday Morning 7/4
We are still watching the weak disturbance in the northern Gulf. There is a very slim chance that this could develop into a tropical depression in the next couple days. We are also tracking a wave in the western Caribbean. This wave will enter the Gulf in the next couple days and could strengthen into a depression. We'll keep an eye on both areas and continue to bring you updates!
