Remembering Gaston

It was five years ago today when Tropical Storm Gaston moved through our area.

This storm dumped as much as 12" of rain in some locations across metro Richmond.

Flash flooding took the lives of eight people - five of which were motorist who tried to drive through flooded roadways. In addition, Gaston spawned twelve F0 tornadoes. The total damage estimate for the whole storm was roughly $30 million. You can find additional information at the following link:
