Another Round of Rain Last Night
We had another round of heavy rain right through Central Virginia last night, adding another half inch for many of us. This puts the two-day rainfall total in spots at an inch or better! Officially at the airport, though, the storm last night just skirted the measurement site, only recording 0.01" of accumulation. This means our year-to-date deficit is at 4.96" below average, at least at RIC, which is what "counts" for the climate record.
This afternoon and early evening we'll have a chance for scattered showers and storms in the area, but this should be our last decent chance for rain for a few days.
