Overnight Update

Temps are currently above freezing across all of central VA, with rain in all counties except our far northern counties where some sleet is occurring. A transition back to snow is expected between 6 AM and 8 AM across the metro, with temperatures falling to the freezing mark during the same time period. The majority of the Richmond Metro Area will see snowfall totals by Saturday evening in the range of 3 to 6 inches. Strong winds will likely cause power outages, particularly after 6 AM when ice and snow weight will increase. All snow should end in our area by early Saturday evening.
