Weather Update 3 PM

A heavy band of snow was moving through the metro area at 3 PM, with reduced visibilities and 1 hour accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible. Surface temperatures are still hovering close to or just above freezing over most of the metro area. A very slow warming of surface temperatures by 1 to 3 degrees is expected in most areas of the metro over late afternoon and evening hours.
