More Rain & Storms Tuesday

Another round of rain and thunderstorms will affect Central Virginia Tuesday afternoon and evening. The heaviest showers and storms will be capable of gusty winds, minor street flooding, and small hail. Extreme Southeast Virginia has the highest probability of receiving severe thunderstorms.

Instability will be greatest across far Southeast Virginia, where you see the purple shades in the map below.

The best moisture will also be in this part of the state, as indicated by the deeper green coloring in the graphic below.
