Update on Watches/Advisories/Warnings


A flood watch is in effect for all counties shaded in green, where 1-2" of total rainfall is expected overnight. A few thunderstorms will be possible after midnight. The winter storm watch has been changed to a winter weather advisory for counties in purple, where around a tenth of an inch of freezing rain could accumulate. The counties across far NW VA shaded in pink are under a winter storm warning, where one-quarter of an inch of ice accumulation from freezing rain will be possible.

Flood Watch Tonight


A Flood Watch is in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning for most of Central and Eastern Virginia. Heavy rain is expected to produce 1"­-2" Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with higher isolated totals possible.
