10AM Fri Update
Visibilities continue to drop in Richmond and along I-95 and west as snow falls in the region. Still no snow in Petersburg or along I-95 southbound to Emporia. Roads in Richmond are not snow-covered (that is, with new snow), but the cars are already well-dusted.
Visibilities Dropping As Snow Moves In

Snow is moving into Central Virginia Friday morning, and visibilities are dropping where the snow is reaching the ground. These are measured in miles.
Here are a few of the snowfall totals so far this morning in Southwest Virginia:
Pulaski 3.0"
Radford 2.2"
Blacksburg 2.1"
Danville 2.0"
Roanoke 2.0"
Covington 1.5"
8:30AM: Snow Moving Into The Metro
Snow is moving into the Metro Richmond area as of 8:30 a.m. Friday. It's starting off light, but intensity is expected to pick up through the morning. Snow stretches approximately along I-64 to Richmond, and along and west of I-95 right now.
